Our Portfolio
This project features a Spanish Colonial style landscape that complements the architecture. Many of the plants are drought-tolerant, which is ideal for the climate in Southern California. The masonry planter walls mimic the stucco of the architecture while tropical porphyry cobblestone flatwork and fountain tile add an array of textures and colors to the landscape.
All existing hardscape underwent renovation, including resurfacing the pool and adding new pool coping. The tropical landscape plant design complements the contemporary architecture of the home. The cabanas, edible gardens, kids’ playhouse, fire features, waterfalls and a chicken-coop are just some of the landscape elements adding uniqueness to this property.

This project was located on a slope overlooking the La Jolla hillside. The landscape has tier steps which allow access to all areas of the hillside while reflecting a more natural look. The plant palette incorporates drought tolerant plant material and the drifts of succulents contrast beautifully with the lighter stucco walls.
The project reflects a French-cottage style mixed with Mediterranean plant design and hardscape elements. Integrated terracotta tile installations around the pool and home entry create an “old world” Mediterranean garden aesthetic while adding contrast in color and variations in texture to the landscape. Meandering pathways wind through the vineyard and citrus groves, while water features create soothing sounds of water throughout the garden.
